Starlings Nest at the Leys
Join us for Starlings Nest, a lively, fun, and free workshop series where families can come together to explore the joy of international music! Led by Natalia Karkarkina and the Starlings team, these sessions are for children aged 7+ and carers to come together learn, play, and share music from around the world that has found a home in The Leys.
All abilities welcome. No experience necessary. Every Thursday for six weeks, June 4th - July 9th. Join us for a drink and a snack from 3.30pm for a 3.45pm start.

Does it matter if I don’t play an instrument?
No. These sessions are for everyone from advanced players to absolute newbies. If you do have an instrument that you can play (even just a little bit) we would love you to bring it along, but please feel free to simply bring yourselves and your voices.
Do I have to bring my own instrument?
If you can play an instrument but don’t have one you can bring please let us know. We might be able to lend you one.
Do children need to be accompanied?
These sessions are really about families sharing music together, so yes. We understand that won’t be possible for everyone to accompany their own child, so they are welcome to come with another responsible adult.
Can I bring younger children?
Younger siblings are welcome to be present, but the sessions are for 7+ years and their parents/carers.
Do I need to come to every session?
We will be working towards a performance together, so please come to as much as possible!
Do I have to sign up?
Spaces may be limited so we advise that you do sign up beforehand
